a month agoI wouldn’t listen to the other reviews. I have been here at least 5 times and every time the food has been great, service has been pretty good, and I love the atmosphere. Very cool retro vibe, good food, good service. My favorite place in State College.

2 months agoReally great experience here for lunch. I got a burger, fries and milkshake and enjoyed all of them quite a bit. Food is maybe a dollar overpriced but I was ok with that considering the wholly unique atmosphere and downtown location. Overall though the place is still cheaper than everything else down town and provides a surprisingly unique dining option for the town. State college lacks a diner with our closest comparison being the waffle shop. Bubbas is a breath of fresh air in a town being consumed by chains and increasingly pricey competitors selling you the same thing, how many fried chicken places does state college need? Anyways, don’t expect fine dining from this joint but if you want a decent meal for less than $15 or are an enthusiast of historical Americana bubbas more than has you covered.

2 months agoBubbas is amazing! Zay was very personable. The entire staff went above and beyond! I recommend this establishment to anyone looking for an exciting experience! Five stars across the board!

4 months agoThe workers were all incredibly kind, it was very busy for the late night food rush but they got through everyone with minimal wait times. Consistently checked on everyone about how the food was and all out the food was very good, its still early into their open and I have high hopes! Id say my only super minimal con was just wishing the music was to the aesthetic but I would never let something so minimal reflect a review of a really good family owned restaurant. Im excited to go back again!

6 months agoNot worth your time. Burnt freezer food and service was terrible. Seats also literally have springs coming out of them and are so uncomfortable.

6 months agoCool retro look, but waited over an hour for two sliders it’s a ridiculously long wait to get food. Easier to just go anywhere else because there’s really nothing special here.
